This part of the site is a work in progress and is in random date order!!
I shall endeavour to update it as regularly as possible, whilst balancing my busy schedule with the occasional power nap.

Ricky Hatton
I was saddened to hear the tragic news about the passing of Manchester Boxing Legend Ricky Hatton. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Derby Day 14/9/25
A good day for the blue half of Manchester. Interestingly they played the OASIS song Cigarettes and Alcohol at the final whistle. Two items you can't take into the stadium.

The Third Lion
Three lions on the England shirt and only two on the Premier League Trophy. Why? Because the third lion is the captain lifting the trophy. Get me....it is rather heavy.

The Gay Village
Manchester Pride, a massive event in the Mancunian calendar. Canal Street, a riot of colours in the sunshine.

I don't like Cricket...
I love it!! A photo I took at Old Trafford in May 2025. Yes, that is sunshine in Manchester.

Hollinwood
Always a pleasure to be invited to speak at Hollinwood Bible Mission in Oldham. A place with a wonderful history and a very warm welcome. This photo was taken before people arrived, honest!!

And there's more...

Burnley Beaten
27th September 2025.
Newly promoted Burnley came to the Etihad Stadium with a woeful record of only 1 victory in 19 league meetings since the Premier League started. They once again left empty handed, City taking all 3 points with a comfortable 5-1 win.

80's Football Kits
If Carlsberg did Sunday Football kits...
My Sunday Football team sporting the Man United Adidas Home kit back in the day.

Lest we forget
9th November 2025
Manchester City entertained Liverpool on Remembrance Sunday and the two managers emerged from the tunnel with a wreath of poppies.

Wonderwall
Hello, I love spending time on new projects and little by little, this is going to be special, taking in art from artists based all around the world.
Whilst some of the work will eventually fade away and the artists may now be half the world away, don't worry and as we say in Manchester "don't look back in anger"
OK, that's enough...I'll get my coat.

Derby Day Blues
I was fortunate to be at the Etihad to witness the first Derby match of the season (a convincing win for City) and I was also there for the return fixture. Whilst the City team were struggling to contain their rivals at Old Trafford, the tours of the Etihad Stadium carried on regardless, giving guests a wonderful experience of the blue side of the city. As the saying goes..."The show must go on"

No Turkish
delight for Galatasaray
28th January 2026
City strolled to a comfortable victory over a mediocre Galatasaray team to secure their place in the last eight of the Champions League. I had earlier taken a few of their supporters on tours of the Etihad Stadium where they enjoyed some gentle banter and my usual repertoire of excellent jokes!!. Later on the pitch, their team did not receive quite the same welcome.

Carabao Cup Winners
The Carabao Cup returned to Manchester this week. Known as the League Cup to old people like me, the three handled trophy now sponsored by a Thai Energy drinks supplier certainly lifted the spirits around East Manchester this week. Well done City.

A Busman's Holiday
Whilst the Carabao Cup was in the bag, sadly the Champions League Trophy will not be coming to Manchester this year. With the Final being held in Budapest and the fact I won't be going with City, a short break for sightseeing in the Hungarian Capital meant it would be rude not to visit the Puskas Stadium, And very impressive it was too.
